One-hundred senior 4-H members and adult volunteer leaders will attend an interactive Atlantic conference designed to energize and inspire the participants' 4-H experience.

Passport 2015 -- Leading, Learning and Living Your 4-H Journey will be held from March 27 to 29 at the Debert Hospitality Centre.

"The 4-H program continues to offer superior leadership development training to their youth membership and adult volunteer leaders," said Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell. "Many leaders in business and agriculture have gone through the 4-H program and events such as this contribute to more involved, community-minded citizens."

This year, there are two conferences running at the same time. One for senior 4-H members, ages 14-21 and the other for volunteer 4-H leaders. Co-ordinated by the Atlantic 4-H Committee, delegates will learn skills and tools needed to make their club and community the best it can be.

The 4-H senior members will learn about entrepreneurship and participate in uFit -- a fitness program designed to energize them to new heights. They will also tour the Dalhousie University Agriculture Campus and participate in activities while on campus.

The volunteer leaders will hear sessions on recreation, board governance, financial planning and enjoy a floral inspired session with Neville MacKay from My Mother's Bloomer's. Both groups will hear sessions on time management and goal setting, following their dreams and making a difference in their community.
