Requests for Proposals Issued

Community Services

Community Services issued two requests for proposals today, Oct. 28, for help with the second stage of change to the Employment Support and Income Assistance and Child, Youth, and Family Supports programs.

The proposals are looking for companies with expertise in project management and delivery, change management and social services redesign and transformation.

"These are substantial changes that we hope will improve the lives of our clients," said Community Services Minister Joanne Bernard. "That's why we are seeking the best expertise possible to guide the transformation process and to ensure that we get it right."

Transformation will take place over the next few years and is intended to improve the delivery of government programs and services to better help the people who use them: children and families, youth, those receiving income assistance and employment supports, and people with disabilities.

The goal is to have a system that is easier to navigate, that gives people the help they need when they need it, allows them to reach their full potential and ensures that services are available to people for years to come.

The procurement process will be open for 30 calendar days following the publication of the proposals.

Throughout the transformation process, the department will continue to engage with interested groups and staff, but specific expertise is required in order to move forward.
