Still Time for Segway Feedback

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

Nova Scotians still have time to comment on the province's ongoing Segway pilot project before it ends in January 2016.

Government introduced the project in 2014 to test and evaluate Segway use on streets and sidewalks, and determine if they are safe to use in the province's transportation system.

Three companies were approved to use Segways during the pilot period and, so far, no incidents have been reported. Evaluation results will help determine whether amendments will be made to the Motor Vehicle Act to permanently allow Segway use.

Anyone with questions, comments or feedback on Segway use can email Segwaypilotproject@gov.ns.ca or visit http://novascotia.ca/tran/roadsafety/segwaypp.asp .
