"Old House at Willow Park Owned by the Piers Family"
Halifax and Provincial Real Estate Register , 1877, p. 14, lists four Willow Park houses for sale... Tower House, Piers House, a new villa, and Willow Cottage. The register states the houses were "built from plans prepared by American Architect [A.J.] Downing."
If this house was a Downing design house, it must have been considerably altered in later years. The Piers House is listed for $4,000.
