"The land for this church was donated nearly 100 years ago by Amos Seaman, who contributed generously, also the building of the church and the old glebe house. He reserved a pew for the Seaman family in the church…. Minudie was a parish way back in the days of the French and later became an important centre. It was the old headquarters of the diocese of Halifax….. The schoolhouse in the picture has a cupola containing the bell that calls the children to school."
