143: Barque "Cyprus," 1091 tons, of St. John, N.B. Built 1878 Bridgetown, N.S. This is taken from F.W. Wallace's book. I copied this ship in ink as a chapter heading in my book. Built by Abram Young. Some paintings of his ships are still in Bridgetown.

144: Belonged to the Longmire family.

145: Many brigs of this type were built here in Bridgetown in the early 19th century. Taken from an old book on ships.

146: As the river looks now, from the bridge in Bridgetown. Wharves - deserted and forlorn - to the right. 1940's.
