Admiral Digby Museum

One of Digby’s fond past landmarks was the Post office situated on Water Street in the centre of town. Constructed in 1903 after the Memorable 1899 Fire. For 60 years the Post Office with the Clock Tower was an elegant building that caught the eye of many. For approximately $2,000 the Clock Tower was built. There were four faces and an illuminated dial to allow visibility during the dark evenings. In 1963 the building was torn down. It should be noted that the Admiral Digby Museum has sections of the Town Clock in its possession.
