On this day the ___ of ___ in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, before me the subscriber one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Halifax personally appeared Emily Herbert the wife of John Gardiner Herbert in the foregoing Indenture named, and being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband, freely confessed that she voluntarily and of her own accord, without any compulsion from her said husband, signed, sealed and executed the within Deed of Bargain and Sale, and thereby relinquished all her right and title of [Dower?] in and to the piece of Land therein mentioned to the said John Liddell, Charles Boggs and John Wenman Pyke their heirs and assigns forever.
