Received from the Hon~ble [Honourable] Thomas Nicholson Jeffery Collector of H.M. Customs etc at the Post, the Sum of Twenty five Pounds five shillings & six pence 1/2 Currency in full for my Pay as Steward to the Negroe Department at Melville Island Between the 27th April + this date having signed duplicate receipts of this [tenor] and date,
