Halifax Nova Scotia
July 27th 1815

Received of the Honble Thomas Nicholson Jeffery Collector [illegible] of HM Customs at this Port, the sum of Thirty four pounds two shillings and six pence currency, in full for my pay as Turnkey to the Negroe Department at Melville Island. Between the 27th April and this date, having signed Duplicate Receipts of the tenor and Date.
