A List of Black refugees received into the Poor House Hospital at Halifax from the Military Hospital and Melville Island under the directions of the Commissioners of the Poor, which have not been furnished with Provisions from the Commissariat department, since their being received; I am to request as Acting Commissioner of the Poor, Your Honor the Administrator will be pleased to give directions that the rations may be furnished for the number of days annexed against each of their names to remunerate the Institution, and for their future subsistance.

I would by leave to promise that Thomas Butler was received into the Hospital on the 6th day of July and died on the 27th August also a refugee from Hamman plains and Victualled at said Hospital from the Institution, and that no provisions were ever received from Government for the said Thomas Butler.
