Intitution[?] and the propability was that he would give me the preference
in issuing the provisions and through that means I might be comping[ illegible- compensated?]
he did not give me a satiffactory explanation respecting the mode I
was to expect to persue to remunerate my self out of this Service
wheather to have double fees or to Imbafree [? illegible] to the am. [amount] of what it I supposed would be equivalent to my former Servis, ~
This last proposition was so absurd and disgusting to my feeling that I made him no reply and left him so `~
I once more made application, which happened to be on
the very morng of the rising of [illegible] assembly[?], he then
Informd me I must apply to the assembly, which he
would dare say would be generous with me, but said I,
I fear, I am too late for this Siting (not knowing then but they
ware to Sit much Longer) he replied no matter How things
Could be record [?] four or five year hence, His advice my
Friend [?] Morris is what I have view [?] from the Secretary
of the Province, I must rely on the good Advice in future
and remain with due regard
