For services done for the people of colour settled in Preston
To moving [Robert?] Bush Friday 13th Henry Woodhouse and James Bush their families and effects from the [ferry?] to [Preston?] farm a distance of ten miles 30 [illegilbe] each family.
To House Bent fuel and [necefuries?] stuff lyed a rich family.

I do certify that the above person were landed at the Ferry to has J. Darton outh after the establishment of the Blacks at Melville Island was done away with by order of the late Governour [his?] John C Therbrooke, and leaving these people destitue and [illegible] to move their families to [illegible] Their suffering. I did authorize the brain to the farm the above service. and to prevent their perishing a sick family of the Blacks were furnished with fuel and meparies as above stated which services I considered myself authorized to regime [illegible]. the authority of his excellency the Commander in Cheif
