          Jamaica 13th June 1783
          Dear Father


          I just drop you a few lines once more
to Learn if I can where you are or what is the cause
of my never hearing from you. I have been in
this Island now near Nine Years. I wish much
[to hear] from you and to know how you are
I shall write nothing particular untill I hear
from you. If you send any Letter to Mr
Forman Directed for me, in Trelawny Jamaica
near Rio Bueno which Mr Forman will
to Mr William Innes who will be sure to forward
it. Hoping to hear from You I remain
