is if I thought She would have me
I would start for Lequille tomorrow
but I fear she would not like
to become the wife of a poor
frontiersman. What think you!
I am pleased to hear the Rev. J. Ritchie
has married for I always thought
him a good man. And as such
deserves to be well married.
I belong to the English Church here.
I do not know whether it is high or low
but the Clergyman does not wear any
gowns nor read his sermons.
          I often hear from [ – ] Harris I
got a letter yesterday from him, from
Prince Edwards Island.
          I have not got all those beaver
skins yet. They are pretty scarce just
now but be patient and you will
Each a nice one when I send Mothers.
I am being quite a lone now. My
old partner having gone & left me
some time ago.
          Now I must Close this as it
quite long enough already and
          Hoping to hear from you
soon again I remain with much
