A resident in the Township of Newport. Came to Nova Scotia from Switzerland in 1751 and served in the H.M. Royal Artillery for seven years. Discharged after the peace. Had received no land for his family of a wife, two servants and son with wife and child.
Memorial for land on road to Halifax. Bounded in parts by Newport and by land granted to Capt. John Bond, Mr. William Meck and other refugees from Carolina.
