Memorialist was discharged at the reduction of troops at the conclusion of the late war, and has since rented a piece of land on the South East Passage of Halifax Harbor but he wishes to become a settler in the province with his wife and two children, and requests lands in the neighborhood of James Steweart near Cowbay, "with any other indulgence usually granted to disbanded soldiers." "The Governor allows 100 acres each provided they pay the Deputy Surveyor."
