"The Petition of Alexander Fraser in Pictou"

2 pages; to His Excellency John Wentworth, Governor of Nova Scotia, requesting a lot of land in another part of the settlement as compensation because the government intends to open a coal mine upon his property on the East River in Pictou. Petitioner has "Built a Mill upon it with Trouble and Expence" and hopes to receive compensation for this, especially as "a number of Emigrants are expected to come to this Place next Summer, who will make application for Lands."
