Petition of James Lulan of Pictou on behalf of himself for relief in consequence of interference with his land. Includes backer with note that five pounds be taken from the Indian Account to be given to purchase necessaries for the Mi'kmaq and since the Indian accounts were rendered to the House.

We beg leave to Certify that the Petitioner James Lulan is a sober Honest and industrious man and is acknowledged as the Chief of the Indians at Pictou - That the facts stated with Petition are true, and that should any money be [ entrusted?] to the Petitioners it will be faithfully [expended] and accounted for ----
