Petition of Thomas Hammond for land where he will not be inconvenienced by white people. He had a lot in Shubenacadie but married a woman of Gold River who would not leave that locality. The land is not sufficient to support the fourteen persons who live there. He asks for other land. An order for 50 acres is sent to T. Crandle.

Petition of Joseph Luxey and four other Mi'kmaq men who are permanent settlers at Roseway River, Long Island, Shelburne County. They have lived in one location for the past 25 years and are the fathers of 24 children. They ask a grant of the Island. Licence of Occupation granted for 200 acres.
