Series 6 - "Micmac." Series consists of correspondence, research notes, draft chapters for Red Earth: Tales of the Micmacs, with an introduction to the Customs and Beliefs of the Micmac Indians. Series also includes articles, newspaper clippings, periodicals, ephemera, sketches and coloured slides for an address. Subjects include: Mi'kmaq in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Mi'kmaq beliefs and customs, petroglyphs ("rock drawings") and other North American First Nations groups.

Petroglyph tracings D: Canoes #10. 7 negatives and 8 positives. Marion Robertson's Rock Drawings of the Micmac Indians interpret this petroglyph as "Two men in canoe lancing fish… These are perhaps Passamaquoddy Indians as the canoe is not the Micmac "humpback", and the drawing is similar to the Eastern Algonkin tribal designation for the Passamaquoddy Indians of two Indians paddling a canoe and following a fish."

Petroglyph tracings D: Canoes #13. 5 negatives and 6 positives. Marion Robertson's Rock Drawings of the Micmac Indians interpret this petroglyph as "lancing fish… A big fish story suggestive of the tale of Glooscap and Kitpooseagunow who put to sea in a stone canoe, speared a whale, tossed it ashore, split it from snout to tail and each roasted and ate his half in one sitting."
