The Prat Sisters: Free Spirits of the 1890s

Letter from Hibbert E. Boehner, Chicago, to Annie concerning her plans to visit during her summer vacation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago

Note in Annie's handwriting, on reverse: "From G. Uncle Hibbert (Grandmother Morse's brother,) and his wife – dear little English Aunt Louisa – 'Aunt Louie,' for whom I received my second name, 'Louisa.' When attending the Art Institute, & visiting the Knickerbockers, Mother's people – I spent a delightful week at the home of these charming people – Great Uncle Hibbert and Aunt Louise, in Chicago – Uncle so courtly and dignified, with his wonderful silver hair, & Auntie, so plump and so English, with her little lace caps."
