These may certify all whom it may Concern that I the subscriber now Residing on the Isle of Sable being informed by Capt. Fawson and James Morris that their orders from His Excellency Sir John Wentworth Bar't and the gentlemen Commissioners for said Island for removing the Subscriber, which of course gave a great alarm but as I the Subscriber having sufficient provisions for myself and family, I therefore pray that I may remain on said Island and do agree and by these presents bind myself to serve under the said James Morris authorized and appointed to command said Island in all lawfull command by day & night in the same order as all others under his command faithfully solemnly and honestly at all times untill May next or untill the Commissioners pleasure be known and
