had it not been for a gale of wind that sprang up from the S.E. hindered us from shipping them on board Conrod & from landing the coal it being in too large casks - However I didn't Mr. Conrod to land the cask in C. Harbour - you the quantity of bread & flour that were on the Island by the arrival of Capn Conrod, being but smaller and there Conrod, having 4 barrels of fine flour on board to ? off. I thought proper to retain them on the Island in case of any incidents & have given him ? on you for payment.
I am very sorry the ? could not ? in the ?. As we have express? a great deal of difficulty, in landing the provisions tho not without getting with - however every attention shud be paid to ransom? them.
