Island of Sable
Sir
This is to let you now the state of the island on the 25 of October the snow admant of newcasel ran on shore on the nort side. Full of water Capt Edley on the 26 ?. Them on shore by ? only 5 alive out of 13 four we found dead on deck wich had died for want of [vitcles?] and drink the peopl was very sick and sum frost bit, the mat and one man is still bad. I have let John my ? go in the boat and beng men of ? on to assist them almost to the ? our peopl is in good helth and our cattle look ver well the time will not ? to say ? more at present I remain your Humble Servant
