consent to name any sum to be paid you, whose salary has been increased in many ways in several ways within these few years past for your care and trouble in the matter. This will be a subject of after consideration for the Commissioners and must be altogether voluntary on their part. The amount of your commissions for 1842 and of your son's premiums shall be paid your agent in this quarter. We have further to request that you will forward in a detailed Report in duplicate of the destruction committed this year on the Island by American fishermen, it being our intention to inform his Excellency the Lieutenant Governor of the circumstances
