We have the honor to enclose a letter from Capt Conn, late of the Revenue Schn Sylph also a certified account of provisions he supplied the crew passengers of the Bark [Sir Greg Provost?] , wrecked at Cape Breton in May last.
As Captn Conn noted with reference to this benevolet act, under the impression that the Comrs of Sable Island would reimburse him for the outlay - and as we have declined doing so having no funds at our disposal for such purposes. We beg to recommend his claim to the favourable consideration of HIs Excellency, the Lieut Governor. We feel satisfied that the expenditure has been made by him.
