Consulado General

en Inglaterra

London 10th Sept. 1849

Sir

I have the pleasure to inform you that I have received an order from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain to pay you £78.15.6, amount expended by you in affording succour to the shipwrecked crew of the "Bella Maria", + in accordance, therewith, + agreeably to your letter of 8th Dec.r last, I have handed the said sum to Mess.rs Delislte Janvrin + Delislbe, who I presume will duly inform you of having received the same.

In consequence of the sudden death of the Chev.r Barrero this affair in common with many others has suffered some interruption, occasioning your re-imbursement to be protracted for a lengthened period; I can however assure you that in future you will be immediately repaid the sums you may advance for the relief of Spanish shipwrecked seamen.

I am
&c
