A Standing Offer is a contractual arrangement between the Province and a pre-approved supplier. Under the terms and conditions of a Standing Offer, the supplier agrees to provide certain goods or services on an 'as required' basis, during a particular period of time and at a predetermined price or discount.
A Request for Standing Offer tender for communication services is issued as part of the regular tender process, usually in the late summer or early fall, and is posted on the Procurement Services website. These tenders are also sometimes advertised in The Chronicle Herald / Mail Star.
Suppliers who respond during during the specified time frame are evaluated. Any supplier who replies to these tenders and meets the published requirements, as determined during the evaluation, will be accepted.
Partnerships on some projects are also the subject of individual tender calls.
Further details about all Standing Offers are available on the Procurement Services' Standing Offer website.
