“Hit the trail” is an expression of fun – and fitness for many Nova Scotians. The Department of Health and Wellness is proud to assist in developing trails and supporting the hundreds of volunteer groups who are building trails throughout the province.

On the Trails Nova Scotia website, you can find maps and information on six different types of trail routes including shared-use trails, snowmobile trails, canoe waterways, sea kayak routes, coastal water trails, and the Trans Canada Trail in Nova Scotia.
