Justice Minister Ross Landry presents Lori Morgan of Dartmouth with an individual award.

The graphic novel “Healing the Bruises”: Through the Eyes of a Child” was the result of one individual’s passion and commitment to helping children who are witnessing family violence at home and who often feel the must carry the weight of this alone. Lori Morgan was able to fill a gap for these children. Outside of Ms. Morgan’s work at Alice Housing, she volunteered countless hours researching and writing her book, that is now used in every elementary school across Nova Scotia, as a resource
