The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering rewards of up to one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Jaime Morey WYATT.

On December 3, 1996, family members of Jaime Wyatt made a report to the St. John’s RCMP, reporting that Jaime Wyatt had not been seen since November 12, 1996. Mr. Wyatt had been residing in Newfoundland, however, he left Newfoundland in September 1996 to seek employment in Nova Scotia.

The investigation revealed that Jaime Wyatt had been staying at the Twin Elms Motel on Inglis Street, Halifax, where he was last seen on November 16, 1996, although he was paid up until November 17, 1996. On the evening of November 16, 1996, Mr. Wyatt informed staff at the Twin Elms that someone was going to be picking him up that evening to go out to a dinner party and other functions during the evening. Mr. Wyatt was never heard from again. The circumstances of Mr. Wyatt’s disappearance are suspicious, and foul play may be involved. Police believe there are persons who have information that could result in an arrest and possible charges.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of Jaime Morey WYATT should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia. Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
