Parsons’ Independent Review

A review of the Rehteah Parsons’ case was announced in August 2013. The review has since been postponed until the court proceedings related to the case are finished.

The review will:

  • look at the impact of technology on young people, their families, their interaction with the justice system and police investigations; and
  • focus on the police and Public Prosecution Services' handling of the Parsons’ case and related policies and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements to the justice system.
