Hampton Beach Designation

made under subsection 5(1) of the

Beaches Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

O.I.C. 80-216 (February 19, 1980), N.S. Reg. 28/80


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 12th day of February, A.D., 1980, pursuant to Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, Section 5(1), is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Hampton Beach, in the County of Annapolis, as shown outlined in red on a copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-3, marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.



Schedule “A”


All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Hampton Beach, in the County of Annapolis, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-3, attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at survey marker #1 being situate at the intersection of the mean high watermark of Chute Cove of the Bay of Fundy with the eastern boundary of Gaskill Brook, said survey marker #1 also situate (by grid bearings referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, zone 5, central meridian 64° 30' west longitude) S 48° 37' 52" W, 1,559.56' from Hub A, said Hub A being situate S 86° 36' 06" W, 5,697.21' from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument #14425 having coordinate values (Northing 16 320 759.71, Easting 17 829 728.88);


Thence (from the place of beginning) in an easterly direction following the various courses of the mean high watermark of Chute Cove 4,300 feet more or less to survey marker #2, said survey marker #2 also situate N 26° 25' 29" E, 672.91' from said Hub A;


Thence (from survey marker # 2) N 45° 24' 26" E, 37.47' to survey marker #3;


Thence S 35° 58' 36" E, a distance of 434.76' to a point;


Thence S 14° 03' 36" W, a distance of 305.55' to a point;


Thence S 03° 45' 12" W, a distance of 204.24' to a point;


Thence S 61° 18' 46" W, a distance of 273.80' to a point;


Thence S 55° 21' 11" W, a distance of 790.42' to a point;


Thence S 75° 42' 25" W, a distance of 598.18' to a point;


Thence S 38° 45' 07" W, a distance of 246.57' to a point, said point being on the eastern boundary of said Gaskill Brook, said point also being situate S 19° 25' 05" E, 120.00' from survey marker #1;


Thence in a northerly direction following the various courses of the eastern boundary of said Gaskill Brook 125' more or less to the place of [beginning].
