Wentzells Lake Provincial Park Designation

made under Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 83-320 (March 29, 1983), N.S. Reg. 42/84


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 9th day of March, A.D., 1983, and pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:

 

                (a)    constitute all that area of land situate at Wentzell’s Lake, in the County of Lunenburg, owned by Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-43 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

 

                (b)    declare that the park shall be known by the name of “Wentzells Lake Provincial Park”.



Schedule “A”


All those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land situate, lying and being at Wentzells Lake, in the County of Lunenburg, Province of Nova Scotia, shown as Lot No. 1 and Lot No. 2 on Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-43 filed in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax the said parcels of land being more particularly described as follows:


First Lot

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Wentzells Lake, in the County of Lunenburg, and identified as Lot No. 1 on Plan No. E-13-43 filed in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests Office, Halifax, the said parcel of land being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at a Survey Marker situate on the northern boundary of the public highway leading from Wentzells Lake to Branch La Have and situate (by magnetic bearings 1972), N 72° 54' 00" W, a distance of 142.18 feet from the northeastern corner of Lot No. 2;


Thence westerly following the northern boundary of the said public highway 1550 feet, more or less, to the ordinary high water mark of the eastern shore of La Have River;


Thence northerly and easterly following the various courses of the ordinary high water mark of the eastern shore of the aforesaid river and the southern shore of Wentzells Lake, 3800 feet more or less to a point;


Thence S 12° 35' 40" W, a distance of 35 feet, more or less, to a Survey Marker;


Thence continuing S 12° 35' 40" W, 451.09 feet to a Survey Marker;


Thence S 2° 45' 50" E, 183.06 feet to a Survey Marker;


Thence S 55° 07' 03" W, 290.60 feet to a Survey Marker;


Thence S 9° 37' 10" E, 110.57 feet to the place of beginning.


The above described parcel of land contains 54.08 acres, more or less.


Second Lot

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Wentzells Lake, in the County of Lunenburg, and identified as Lot No. 2 on Plan No. E-13-43 filed in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests Office, Halifax, the said parcel of land being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at a Survey Marker situate on the southern boundary of the public highway leading from Wentzells Lake to Branch La Have and situate (by magnetic bearings 1972), S 72° 54' 00" E, a distance of 142.18 feet from the point of beginning of Lot No. 1;


Thence S 10° 37' 30" E, 169.97 feet to a Survey Marker;


Thence S 79° 22' 30" W, 512.17 feet to a Survey Marker;


Thence N 10° 37' 30" W, 166.68 feet to a Survey Marker situate on the southern boundary of the aforesaid public highway;


Thence northeasterly along the southern boundary of the said public highway 513 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning, said place of beginning being N 79° 00' E, 512.37 feet from the last described Survey Marker.


The above described parcel of land contains 1.98 acres, more or less.
