These two Mi'kmaq men were photographed between 15-21 July 1923, during the re-enactment and celebration of the 1773 landing of Scottish settlers at Pictou. Lonecloud is carrying the skull and antlers of a moose shot by Peter Wilmot when he was in his eighties. Wilmot is 97 years old in this photograph; he lived to be 106.
