IMAGE INFORMATION

Six male dancers in skirts and feather headdresses. The man whose face is damaged in the photo is probably Isaac Sack of Shubenacadie. Onlookers include Mi'kmaq men in traditional beaded coats. Note the canvas tents and flag in the background. This was probably a performance at an exhibition of some sort. The original McCord Museum catalogue reads, "In war costume as they appeared before the Prince of Wales in 1860."
