PREMIER'S OFFICE--Premier Encourages Recognition of Greek Independence Day

Premier John Hamm encourages all Nova Scotians to join with the Hellenic-Canadian community on Thursday, March 25, to celebrate Greek Independence Day.

"The Greek community has deep roots in Nova Scotia," said Premier Hamm. "I would like to wish them all the best with regard to their celebration of Greek Independence Day."

March 25 has been celebrated by the Hellenic-Canadian community as Greek Independence Day since 1821.
