Antigonish Access Nova Scotia Centre closed

Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (Oct. 2000 - March 2014)

The Access Nova Scotia centre in Antigonish will close today, March 13, to continue an investigation into possible air-quality issues.

The centre is closing to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.

Last week, the office was closed because of an odour. An investigation was completed and actions taken, based on expert advice from the landlord's engineer.

The odour dissipated and the province received assurances the office was safe.

However, the odour has returned, requiring a more in-depth investigation.

The office will remain closed until the air-quality concerns are fully resolved.

Antigonish residents can get services at the New Glasgow or Port Hawkesbury Access Nova Scotia centres. For more information about specific services, call toll-free at 1-800-670-4357.
