Nova Scotia Come to life Gets Celebrity Endorsement

Fifty-eight businesses and associations plus two of Nova Scotia's most popular entertainers have become ambassadors for the province with Nova Scotia "Come to life."

Singer-songwriter Bruce Guthro and comedian Ron James signed up as "Come to life" charter members at an event in Antigonish today, May 16.

"I am proud of where I come from and I tell the Nova Scotia story, no matter where I go," said Mr. Guthro. "We have much to be proud of and I am happy to stand with the rest of the Nova Scotia 'Come to life' charter members to sing Nova Scotia's praises."

More than 400 business and community leaders attended the dinner, Celebration of Business Success in Nova Scotia. It was organized by the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce, the Nova Scotia Association of Chambers, and Nova Scotia "Come to life."

Premier Rodney MacDonald welcomed the new charter members.

"We have all the ingredients in this province for a thriving business and a balanced life," said Premier MacDonald. "Our new charter members represent the many successes that are happening in Nova Scotia and they are standing up and telling the world about the advantages of living, working, learning and investing in Nova Scotia."

The dinner was an opportunity for business and community leaders to come together, network and celebrate their accomplishments.

Nova Scotia "Come to life" is now represented by 149 charter members who are helping tell the Nova Scotia story to the world.
