The Tusket Industrial Park in the Municipality of Argyle will be able to attract more businesses with the completion of the wastewater extension project.

The province announced today, Feb. 6, that it is investing $60,000 towards the extension of a wastewater line that will serve the remaining lots in the park. The project also includes improvements to the system’s pumping station.

"This project will help the municipality attract new businesses to the park," said Chris d'Entremont, Minister of Community Services, on behalf of Richard Hurlburt, Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations. "It is a vital component to the industrial growth of the Municipality of Argyle."

The investment is part of the Provincial Capital Assistance Program which helps municipalities with priority projects that will improve quality of life and help achieve economic growth for the area.

"We appreciate the government's assistance with this project," said Aldric d'Entremont, warden of the Municipality of Argyle. "It will help create economic opportunities in our community."
