Flooding and Icy Road Conditions Hazardous

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

Spring-like weather conditions across the province are creating hazardous driving conditions in some areas.

Middleton and Cumberland areas are experiencing freezing temperatures, causing icy roads with patches of black ice.

Heavy rainfall in other parts of the province has caused roads to flood in several areas.

Drivers should use caution as melting snow can cause flooding and road washouts and dropping temperatures create icy roads.

Motorists are urged to check road conditions before driving.

Information on road conditions is available by dialing 511 or visiting the department's road condition website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/winter/roadconditions.asp .
