Minister Expresses Gratitude for Support

Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (Oct. 2000 - March 2014)

NOTE: The following is a letter to the editor from Ramona Jennex, Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations.

As a newly elected member of the House of Assembly, a new Cabinet minister, and a mom who just experienced a loss that no parent should ever experience, I want to reach out to Nova Scotians on a couple of fronts.

First, I want to thank you for your outpouring of kindness to myself and my family at this difficult personal time. I never once thought I would be at this place in my life. However, this is where I find myself and I am dealing with my personal heartbreak in my own private way. Fraser was a wonderful son.

For me, this is not an easy time, and I am working hard to keep my personal and public life separated.

I'm on the job as Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, Immigration, the Emergency Management Office, and Minister responsible for Youth. With my background and interest in community issues and youth, I'm honoured to take on these important roles.

Once again, I want to express my gratitude for your support over the last several weeks. I look forward to speaking with you, and working on your behalf.

Thank you.
