HRM Charter Amendments Tabled in Legislature
Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (Oct. 2000 - March 2014)
Amendments to the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter were introduced today, Sept. 18.
The amendments will make sure that Halifax Regional Municipality has the same authority for supplementary educational funding in its charter as it had under the Municipal Government Act.
Amendments will also correct numbering relating to in HRM by Design.
"These changes address an oversight and clean up the numbering in the charter," said Ramona Jennex.
