Learn To Fish At Shubenacadie Wildlife Park

Natural Resources (to July 2018)

Celebrate National Wildlife Week by learning to fish at the Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park.

Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, sport fish development officer Andrew Lowles will show participants the safe and proper way to fish.

The free program will begin with a 90-minute presentation, followed by fishing in the park's pond. The program will wrap up with a fish-cleaning demonstration and cooking the catch.

Participants should bring outdoor clothes, rubber boots, hat, insect repellent and sunblock.

Up to 30 people can attend each day and children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Call 902-758-5316 or e-mail legacycentre@gov.ns.ca to register.

Learn To Fish is jointly sponsored by the departments of Natural Resources and Fisheries and Aquaculture.
