Premier Congratulates N.B. Premier-elect

Premier Stephen McNeil congratulated Brian Gallant today, Sept. 23, on becoming premier-elect of New Brunswick after his victory in the provincial election.

"I hope to meet with Premier-elect Gallant in the coming weeks to discuss matters of mutual interest," said Premier McNeil. "Our provinces have many issues in common that we can work on to get positive results for Maritimers.

"On behalf of all Nova Scotians, I extend my appreciation to David Alward for having served the people of New Brunswick and wish him well in his future endeavors."
