Community Report Shows Commitment to Social Responsibility

Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation (Jan. 2013 - July 2018)

The Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation today, Sept. 29, released its 2013-14 community report, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.

"Social responsibility is integrated into everything we do to help ensure a safe and entertaining gaming industry in Nova Scotia," says Bob MacKinnon, Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation president and CEO. "This report demonstrates our constant dedication in meeting our commitment, including making sure that gaming revenue goes to good causes."

In 2013-14, the corporation launched a new designated ticket lottery program, Support4Culture, and its flagship program, Support4Sport, is now the most significant source of funding for sport in the province.

The community report outlines the status and results of the five pillars established under the corporation's social responsibility charter: responsible gambling, integrity and security, citizens and communities, corporate governance, and stakeholder relationships.
