Y.Z. v. Halifax Regional Municipality

Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission

An independent Nova Scotia human rights board of inquiry in the case of Y.Z. v. Halifax Regional Municipality is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

An identity publication ban has been issued by the board chair to protect the complainant's identity. The complainant alleges racial discrimination by his employer, Halifax Regional Municipality.

The board of inquiry will begin at 9:30 a.m., at the Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview, 101 Wyse Rd., Dartmouth.

The board chair is Lynn Connors, who is independent of the commission, which is a party representing the public interest at the board of inquiry.
