Natural Resources (to July 2018)

The reservation line for booking provincial park campsites will open Saturday, April 2, with an improved website design to make online reservations easier.

"Nova Scotia's provincial parks system offers campers wonderful nature experiences and fun activities from Yarmouth County to Cape Breton Island," said Natural Resources Minister Lloyd Hines. "Our camping parks are popular, and I encourage campers to book their campsites early."

Reservations for camping sites can be made by phone, toll free at 1-888-544-3434 or online at http://parks.novascotia.ca/ .

Almost all provincial day-use and camping parks will open on the Victoria Day weekend in May. Some camping parks do not open until June. Park users are urged to check for updated information on the provincial parks website.

More than a million people visit provincial beaches and parks each year. Visitors can enjoy swimming, camping, paddling, nature exploration, geocaching, and other activities.

Nova Scotians are encouraged to register for events at parks through the new website. Already more than 125 recreational and interpretive events are scheduled for the 2016 season. Event information will be posted in April.
