Treat yourself to a delicious codfish supper at the Highland Village in Iona on Saturday, Aug. 23. This traditional Cape Breton meal includes potatoes, curds, chow, bacon scraps, tea, coffee, biscuits and cookies.
The dinner is $15 for adults and $8 for children. Hot dogs are available for $2. The supper is 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine, in the tuning room.
Arrive early and experience the outdoor display of Gaelic life in Nova Scotia. Explore period buildings, visit with costumed interpreters, witness re-enactments of the Gael's day-to-day activities and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Bras d'Or Lakes.
